Barnard Castle Cricket Club

Barnard Castle Cricket Club is a volunteer lead club which has grown and flourished on and off the playing field over the past few years. The club has 3 successful adult teams as well as a well-established junior section made up of U11, U13, U15 and U17 teams. We have opened the club function room and kitchen to a much wider community partnership with hosting luncheon clubs, disability groups, charity fundraisers, bingo nights and major community events.
We are also a focal point for several other amateur sporting clubs including football, pool and darts who use the facilities to encourage both young and the more mature individuals to become involved in sport and to associate which increases community cohesion. The Cricket Club has well-established young person training sessions with over 100 young people aged from 5 to 17 being involved from all areas of society. As a family orientated club, we engage with numerous children, parents, carers the elderly who are actively involved in what’s going on in the ground.
