Bishop Auckland Canoe and Kayak Club

BACK are a small pool based volunteer run club specialising in teaching kayaking to beginners, families, old and young offering pool sessions on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 8pm.

These weekly sessions cost £6 for the hour including equipment hire & coaching (optional…but we’re there if you’d like it).

You can come along for the first session without the requirement to join our club however if you enjoy this we request that you do join, currently as of June 2018 this costs £20 per adult, £10 for U18’s and family £40 for the year plus £6 per session (or £5 once you have your own equipment). This gives you access to book onto pool sessions and the members Facebook page. Membership fees are unfortunately non-refundable, most of the annual fee goes towards insurance for you and us and equipment maintenance.

You need shorts and T-shirt in the pool. If you carry on, get hooked and wish to get outside on the rivers & lakes at this point you would need to buy your own kit as the club equipment is for pool use only. The club can help with advice on this if you need it.
