Shotley and Benfieldside Tennis Club

We offer opportunity for players of all ages and abilities to enjoy tennis in a friendly environment. Regular coaching sessions on Tuesday , Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday cover Mini, Junior and Adult groups from novice to experienced and individual lessons are also available. Ladies, mens and mixed doubles teams compete in Senior and Veteran competitions at all levels and always welcome new members. We also run Junior teams in national and local league competitions. Social tennis on Sunday offers a chance to relax and exercise at the same time.
Although a members club, we also offer Pay & Play for non-members, and are home to the only indoor tennis court in County Durham. Members and non-members can book this court at any time between 8.00am and 10.00pm, 7 days a week to enjoy tennis safe in the knowledge that their game will not be affected by weather.
The Club also has close links with the local community, working with Sportworks to provide sport, exercise and recreation to disabled and special needs children in the area on a weekly basis, providing training facilities to local netball and cricket clubs.
