Mentorship

Mentorship

Sometimes you may want to speak to someone to talk through your ideas or to find out how to approach a particular issue you are facing.

Club Durham aims to make sure clubs have access to the best mentors available.

How can a mentor help my club?

Mentors are there to provide you with support and guidance to help you reach your goals. They can support you with general business guidance, offer an alternative perspective through sharing their own ideas and experiences, and help you through any difficulties you are experiencing.

What is available?

Mentorship is available in two ways:

One to one – You will be matched to a suitable mentor to work through the issues you are having. Each mentoring relationship is different based on your needs and preferences, but will normally involve working together over a 3-6 month period, through a combination of face to face meetings, phone calls and emails.

Group – If a number of clubs are having the same problem, we will organise group mentorship. The benefit to group mentorship are that clubs can share their experiences first hand, learn from each other and work together to come up with solutions that will help you to achieve your goals.

How to access mentorship opportunities?

Club Matters and Sported provide mentorship opportunities. Visit their websites for full details about programmes and how to access them.
