Northern Navigators

Northern Navigators (NN) is a small, friendly club with approximately fifty members based in Durham and the Northeast. We meet weekly for a coaching / training session held on Wednesday evenings in a variety of locations near to Durham City centre. We encourage and support members to attend weekend orienteering events around the region and sometimes further afield, sharing lifts and information on upcoming events. We also regularly organise and run events of our own on areas we have mapped during our 50-year history. Notable NN areas include Hamsterley Forest, Shaftoe Crags, The Cragg Estate, Bewick Moor, Aykley Heads and Low Burnhall. The Executive Committee convenes on a bi-monthly basis to discuss club matters – this is an open meeting, and all club members are welcome to attend.
