Consett Steelers Netball Club

Steelers Netball Club was founded in 2013 as a Back to Netball Club at Belle Vue Leisure Centre, Consett with a small core of players. It now accommodates 90+ members, including an active Junior Club with participants aged 6-15years old. Both Seniors and Juniors play competitvely in local netball leagues with the seniors fielding 6 teams. Two teams play in first division, one team in second division, one team in third division and two teams in fourth division. thus catering for all levels of abilty. The Juniors have 3 teams at U11 level and 1 team at U14 level. Some members of both the senior and junior club are members who play non -competitively and come along purely for the social aspect where they can meet and make make new friends. Steelers regularly hosts netball tournaments and events to support local and national charities Strong links have been made with other sporting clubs within Consett and support their local fund raisng events The club provides a brilliant networking opportunity with all ages are catered forand the generation gap absent from all activities.
