Various sports and fitness

Durham Association Boys and Girls Clubs (DABGC) is a community based youth organisation with 87 years experience and knowledge of working with young people across the North East of England. It is one of the largest voluntary providers of community based youth sport on inter-club, county, national and international levels in the area. Through its strong membership network of over 360 volunteers who manage 86 community-based youth clubs and organisations, we are able to reach out to over 11500 young people aged between 9 and 25 years, including many from deprived areas and special needs groups.

DABGC promotes the benefits of a healthy lifestyle by offering over 28 sports, training and activities as well as wellbeing projects over the North East. DABGC offers a diverse range of sporting events including athletics, football, boxing, table-tennis, surfing and many more. Sport is a valuable recreational tool that activily promotes inclusion and positive interaction while building a strong sense of teamwork. Our aim is to give all young people the opportunity to either to try a new sport or participate in their chosen sport.
