Durham City Aquatics Amateur Swimming & Water Polo Club

Founded in 1861 and based at Freeman’s Quay in Durham City, we are the second oldest swimming club in England and over generations our members have succeeded in competition at the highest levels. We are proud of our history and of our members who have helped shape the sports of swimming and water polo over the decades.

We are affiliated to the Amateur Swimming Association and are a swim21-logo accredited club.

Our principal activities are competitive swimming and water polo.
We currently have over two hundred members who range from academy swimmers to National medallists. The club has an active social side to the performance squads with a club squad and a masters’ squad.
