Go The Distance CIC
Go the Distance (GTD) is a Community Interest Company (CIC) set up to create a pathway for young people focusing on four core areas: Sport, Education, Employability, Mental Health.
Sporting activities used as a vehicle to help young people in the Durham and Sunderland area of the Northeast of England with mental health, behaviour, and confidence issues to access positive engagement via additional education and training outside of a school environment.
Our approach is to work with young people by helping them to re-engage with their education program, use sport to build confidence and discipline and build their mindset up to a level where they can believe in themselves and improve self-esteem.

North Road Gym Amateur Boxing Club
North Road Gym Amateur Boxing Club established in late 2007 to provide the local area with a secure and professionally run venue in which to practice, develop and compete in a boxing community.
Ran completely by volunteers, the club has developed and established strong community’s ties and affiliations, attracting membership from the immediate and associated areas. With ages ranging from 10-year-old juniors through to 40-year-old seniors, the club provides state of the art training and conditioning mixed with a traditional, old-school ethos providing a firm focus on building not only a healthy body but also mind and overall personal responsibility.
As well as offering an arena for training and competing in a selection of tournaments, the club has now added to its underlying ethos the wish to invest and develop in the future.
