Men together derwentside

So this club was set up by myself in order to bring men of all ages and any abilites to come together and have a kick around , this group has been going for 2 months which the numbers have grown rapidily , currently i have 57 men attending two sessions which run on a sunday 7-8 and a monday session 8-9.
We have bemish football club willing to support myself with another venue as numbers are contuining to grow.
We also are in talks wirh consett afc to expand our group to another venue to hit more men around the area.
This group was set up of the back of my other mans group whixh i run from my work place at quaking houses village hall in stanley as a few men expressed wishes to play football again.
I would to branch out into walking football as there is a need for this in the area and the men i support.
Also on the cards will be a cycling club and also a darts and pool nights for my men to come together and support each other.

View Lane Bowling Club is a club that plays in the North West Durham Derwentside leagues and is also open for casual and social bowling

Tantobie Cricket Club

Tantobie cricket club are a small, amateur cricket club situated in the centre of Tantobie village, just a couple of miles east of Stanley in Co Durham. We currently have 2 open age teams playing in the Durham & Northeast Cricket League on a Saturday and playing various friendly/social games on an evening. Burnopfield Cricket Club

We have three senior teams which play in the North-East Premier League, and four junior teams (Under 11’s, Under 13’s, Under 15’s and Under 18’s) who play in the Tyneside section of the Durham Cricket Board Junior League. We are hoping to expand teams to include a lady’s team over the next few years.

Melvin Betts: Level 4 Coach and ex-Durham County player has been engaged as Director of Coaching and will be responsible for all team and junior coaching matters within the Club.

The Club is fully licensed and everyone is welcome. There is a large function room which is available for use free of charge (*) for your private events and a separate club bar with fantastic northern views overlooking the Derwent Valley and the Northumberland hills.

Stanley Indoor Bowls Centre LTD

Stanley Indoor Bowling Club opened in 1977 we are open to all the public not just members, we have hosted junior and senior international competitions, bowlers are part of the international team and have represented us all over the country. We have successfully brought bowls into schools in the local area which has led to us having our own junior section.

We have welcomed many lady bowlers over the past few years, and they have gone on to form teams for inter-club league games. Our clubs evening leagues are open to both men and women, and we will always welcome new entrants.

The indoor bowling season runs from September to April with various league running throughout the week.
